PRESS RELEASE - Marcus W. Mosen appointed Chief Strategy Officer

Ogone announces it has appointed Marcus W. Mosen to the position of Chief Strategy Officer. Mosen will join Ogone’s executive committee working closely with Ogone’s CEO Peter De Caluwe and senior management on all strategic business development initiatives and projects to further foster and expand Ogone’s business model and market presence.
Marcus W. Mosen’s initial priority will be to further strengthen Ogone’s market position in the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region.

The expansion of the Executive Committee demonstrates the determination of the company and its shareholder Summit Partners to pursue a clear growth strategy that also includes the development of new value propositions & markets. During the next few years, the company will continue to deliver unrivalled payment solutions with a growing blend of added value opportunities. In doing so, Ogone intends to make itself the front-runner as a payment service provider able to comprehensively meet its customers' requirements and extend its technology and operational leadership.

Marcus W. Mosen (46) has extensive experience in the payments, IT and telecommunications industries. During the last 10 years, he held various senior management positions at Easycash, First Data International and, prior to that, at GZS (Gesellschaft für Zahlungssysteme mbH). Mosen began his professional career at the German Treuhandanstalt privatisation agency from there he moved to the telecommunications industry and joined Vebacom/Otelo in 1995. Marcus W. Mosen earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from University of Rhineland-Palatinate (Germany) and a Master of Business Administration from University of Birmingham (U.K.)
